Edgar Allen Poe 1809-1849

DEATH at the age of forty for Edgar Allan Poe, robbed the collective of further macabre tales of mystery. An orphan young when his mother passed on, Poe experienced the vagaries of life throughout his formative years, attending University, leaving for lack of funds, enlisting in the army and failing as an officer. Becoming a noted critic after several years hard-work he moved to Philadelphia and then New York City, can you imagine at that time the energy and possibilities that man had made for themselves?
His writing shaped by the death of his wife, his life further affected by the living.
Write write write the life.
